About me
I grew up in Oakland, surrounded by music from an early age. By five, I was performing on stage. Over the years, I learned six instruments (voice, clarinet, trumpet, dizi, suona and hulusi), competed, and performed internationally.
For a long time, I thought music itself was what I loved most. But the moments that stayed with me weren't the performances themselves. They were the reactions afterward, seeing how something I helped create could make people feel.
Why I build
That feeling stuck with me.
I realized I didn't need to be on stage to create something meaningful for someone else. Technology offered a different medium, one where I could turn ideas into experiences that reached far beyond an audience.
That's what draws me to building products. Different medium, same motivation: creating something people connect with.
